Step into Elf World and meet 'Arborr' the Tree Sprite, part of a unique series of Woodlander characters from artist Ann Galvin of Elf World Creations.

Arborr is a joyous Tree Sprite, flinging his woody arms wide in delight at finding two magical fly agaric toadstools. The Tree Sprites are dependable Beings, not prone to sudden movements or decisions. As Forest Defenders their main duty lies with protecting the Woodlands from any threat ~ without any 'song and dance' and with inherent dignity, they are silent deceptive Defenders of the Realm ~ Arborr has exceptional hearing and is feeling the resonance of tiny murmurs through his wooden body, rooted in the forest floor ~ any threat will be detected without delay and reported to the Elf World Elders. Arborr is eight inches high.

Arborr the Woodlander Tree Sprite has been sculpted with my own blend of polymers and natural vegetation, painted with heat set paints and sealed with polyurethane. He has beautiful, mesmerising, golden glass eyes handcrafted by myself and is a 'one of a kind' creation having been entirely handmade without the use of moulds and finished here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. He has wispy mohair curls and is just eight inches tall.

Arborr the Tree Sprite will be accompanied by a photo authenticity certificate signed by the artist.

About the Artist:

The designer of this piece is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator of children's books. She later returned to sculpture, modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and has been a member of many Sussex collectives. Her work can be seen at East Dean Village Hall every Wednesday morning.
