Step into Elf World and meet the Spider Whisperer Apprentice Wizard 'Skillet' ~

Skillet is a Sussex Podkin; a long-running Elf World series of gnomes. He is an excellent spider-trainer with his favourite 'Spydy' here on his arm ~ they will learn the true value of stealth, sneaking and spying in Defence of the Realm. A silent deceptive defender, Skillet is working undercover and is ready for any mission, especially if it involves creeping around, spying on the enemy and telling tales when the culprit is caught. His precious spiders will prowl undetected through the undergrowth and report back any dubious movement of insect 'enemies' ~ Skillet is positively crackling with enchantment!

This is a 'one of a kind' creation having been entirely handmade without the use of moulds here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. Modelled with Prosculpt polymers, painted with heat set paints before sealing with lacquer, Skillet has stunning golden glass eyes handmade here at the Elf World Studio. Skillet has mohair hair and a final dusting of blush. Skillet the Spider Whisperer Podkin is just four inches tall, Spydy is fixed in position ~

Skillet the Spider Whisperer Gnome will be accompanied by a photo authenticity certificate signed by the artist.

About the Artist:

Ann Galvin is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator. She later returned to modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and has been a member of many Sussex collectives. Her work has been featured in Dolls House and Miniature Scene Magazine~ www.dollshousemag.co.uk ~ and can be seen in permanent exhibition at The Old Loom Mill Craft Centre, Hailsham, Sussex ~ call in to visit the Gnome Village ~
