~ step into Elf World and meet AthLene the OakenGnome Apprentice Healer; a unique poseable art doll from artist Ann Galvin of Elf World Creations.

AthLene is an OakenGnome, Forest Defender and Woodlander from Friston Forest in Sussex England. The OakenGnomes are silent foragers, removing trip hazards and edible fungus from the forest floor. AthLene has been harvesting the toadstool crop at her feet, distilling the tonic in her potion bottle. As a Forest Defender her main duty lies with protecting the Woodlands from any threat ~ without any 'song and dance' and with inherent dignity, she is a silent deceptive Defender of the Realm ~ AthLene is fixed on a mossy base with toadstools and carries a blue potion bottle.

AthLene the Apprentice Healer has been sculpted with Cosclay over a strong wire armature, she is gently poseable. She has onyx eyes and feather hair and is a 'one of a kind' creation having been entirely handmade without the use of moulds here at my studio on the Sussex Coast. She is just under nine inches tall. AthLene carries a modelled clay potion bottle.

AthLene the OakenGnome Apprentice Healer will be accompanied by a photo authenticity certificate signed by the artist.

About the Artist:

The designer of this piece is a professional multi-media artist with thirty years experience. After studying Sculpture and Ceramics, she began her professional career as a freelance illustrator. She later returned to sculpture, modelling in clay, polymers and cold porcelain. She has exhibited widely at exhibitions and galleries and has been a member of many Sussex collectives.
